WELCOME TO PIG BEACH

Hello friends. Our world is full of amazing and mysterious places, making their visitors wonder if they are real at all. How were these places form? How were their inhabitants adapted to life on them? Questions, that can not leave us, just like in the case of the Pig Island. 

This unusual segment of the world has already become very popular thanks to its extravagant and by the way only inhabitants.  The name Major Payne (meaning Big Major Cay) would not mean anything even for the world travellers, but it is worth clarifying the name.

There is only one place on the planet where its only and full-fledged inhabitants are pigs. What is more these pigs are unique, because of the ability to swim perfectly. This latent skill, hasn’t come from their far known ancestors, the Hippos, but formed during the time period, these animals spent on this small Bahamian Island in the Atlantic Ocean. Just like the birds and sea turtles, which were examined by Charles Darwin, these otherwise domestic creatures adapted to life on a tropical island, after the pirates, who had brought them to the island mysteriously disappeared.

This story is dedicated to them, the Exuma pigs of Major Payne.
